CAREER GUIDANCE THROUGH SPORT
The Fest Hub is the one and only assembly that connects football, education and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) together in everything that we do. We’re using sports, particularly football, to help young people aged 11-16 from disadvantaged communities. Our aim is to ignite interest predominately into STEM careers as early as possible, gently providing guidance for life after school. We also work with sports individuals and students aged 16-24 to provide support and engage them with individuals or organisations that promote the need for STEM. Football is a sport that is loved worldwide and we acknowledge the power sports has in building bridges. We aim to harness this power to bring people together.
We deliver STEM learning training programmes to professional football club scholars and early professionals in addition to schools that are members of The Fest Hub. The Fest Hub exists to bridge the gap between STEM organisations, young people and professional football clubs.
Emmanuel Afolabi founded The Fest Hub to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and professional football club scholars into science, technology, engineering and maths careers. Having first hand experience in the football scholarship system, Emmanuel identified a desperate need to support young people who were not offered professional contracts.
